So what’s the challenge…
The Strategic Research Associates’ role is to participate in achieving the Research team’s goals and mandate such as financial evaluation and assessment of business opportunities and existing projects, performance of macro and micro analysis of market financial indicators, trends, and projections, and provision of valuable insights that will support the establishment of strategic initiatives
Your day to day will include:
- Developing financial models for corporate projects’ evaluation including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, Comparable Companies and Comparable Transactions & IRR
- Quantifying valuation impact of structural changes in business operations
- Analyzing local and international market trends and business environment, changes in legislation, regulatory, competition developments etc., and providing insight on the investment environment at macro and micro economic levels
- Preparing management presentations to support financial findings on strategic research projects
- Participating in the analysis of potential strategic investments and in the development of feasibility studies, through the analysis of market data and projections.
- Working closely with external stakeholders (consultants, experts etc) for ad-hoc projects
- Performing ad-hoc research, qualitative and quantitative analysis of market data and status, that will support the accurate decision making of the management
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Finance/Economics
- Up to 2 years of experience in financial analysis within private equity/brokerage firm/investment banking/transaction services or deal advisory within a consulting company
- Being a CFA candidate will be considered as a plus
- Proficient user of MS office; expertise in advanced Excel functions
- Good understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics and customer trends.
- Strong numerical, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to prepare from scratch a 3-statement financial model will be considered as a plus Project management skills will be considered as a plus
- High level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Advanced communications and presentation skills both in Greek & English language
- Team work, stress tenacity, meeting deadlines and multi-tasking
