At Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services, we manage the entire logistics chain of Wärtsilä OEM parts, from order intake to customer delivery. To accomplish this, our team is built with three delivery functions; Parts Coordination Management (PCM), Parts Supply (PS) and Parts Delivery (PD). Parts Coordination Management (PCM) works with both internal and external customers to support Parts offers, Order confirmations, as well as, providing critical information throughout this process to multiple stakeholders. In this role, you will be part of the PCM function.

We are now looking for Parts Coordination Management TRAINEE(s) to join our dynamic PCM team working on providing a premium service for customer spare part requirements. We play a crucial role to be the link between the customers and various Wärtsilä departments. This is a great opportunity for you with an interest in the maritime/energy industry. The trainee period is for 12 months and the location for the position is in Moschato, Athens.

What will you be doing?

As our Parts Coordination Management Trainee, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Handle and coordinate quotes and orders according to working procedures and guidelines, and local requirements
  • Ensure quality of spare parts sales documents
  • Actively follow-up the status of orders and quotes
  • Liaise with Sales about the content and terms of the offerings
  • Follow up and communicate parts deliveries information accordingly in a timely manner to customers.
  • Follow up with supply chain of parts deliveries according to agreed process
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of customer specific solutions and needs.

As an ideal candidate, you have a positive mindset and a genuine interest to work towards building strong customer relationships. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have a clear and structured approach to your work and focus on quality.

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree (technical or commercial) in progress or completed (recent graduate)
  • 0-3 years of work experience in customer service/logistics/spare parts order or in the field of the candidate’s studies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Fluent English language skills. Additional language skills will be considered as a plus (with an emphasis on French, Spanish, Turkish, Italian and Portuguese)
