The opportunity

Our Independence team is now proceeding with the recruitment of an Associate based in Athens.

This position is considered key in one of the most important firmwide risk management functions of our Firm and relates to the services, business relationships, financial interests of our Firm and the Firm’s employees.

In this role you will have to participate in the implementation of complex domestic, EU and US regulations to ensure that both PwC service offerings, financial interests and business relationships as well as PwC’s employees financial interests and relationships are in compliance with the auditor’s independence legislative framework and PwC network policies. You will also become a key contact person for all the Lines of Services with respect to independence requirements.

As part of our team, you will

  • Liaise with all Lines of Services (Advisory, Assurance, Tax & Legal) to address inquiries & consultations and participate in meetings with internal stakeholders
  • Provide support for monitoring processes and procedures of the Independence Office (i.e., Personal Independence Compliance, Training, Compliance with Network Standards, etc)
  • Monitor Regulatory developments and changes and collaborate with Regulatory team
  • Monitor changes driven by PwC Global and empowerment of communication channels with the Network
  • Work collaboratively to drive ideas/solutions with team to bring efficiencies and exploit technology opportunities

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Political Sciences, Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting and any other relevant field
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a corporate environment
  • General knowledge of regulatory and business environment
  • An inquisitive nature which is inclined to investigate, identify issues, and solve problems
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in performing the tasks assigned
  • Ability to implement and adapt to new or changing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a range of key stakeholders
  • Strong communication & project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Military obligations fulfilled
