When it comes to money, GI-related insurance claims are one of the top cost drivers for employers and health plans. We are looking for a driven, experienced software engineer who’s excited about our mission and wants to help us build a user-friendly application that improves the health of thousands of people.
What you’ll be doing as our back-end software engineer:
- Being part of one our cross-functional teams
- Implementing features and maintaining our services
- Testing our applications against technical issues and fixing them
- Utilizing reactive methodologies using reactive extensions (Rx*)
- Writing xUnit and integrations tests as part of our CI/CD pipelines
- Shaping the future of the application and the overall architecture of our system
Your profile:
- Strong engineering background, preferably with academic training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with Golang and/or PHP 7
- Willingness and ability to work in a cross-functional, product-focused team, and actively participate in the design of future features and iterations
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and HTTP semantics
- Knowledge on RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Understanding of message queuing or stream protocols (AMQP or Kafka)
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience with Git
Ideally you also have:
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience with various programming languages used for web development
- Appreciation of Reactive Manifesto
- Appreciation of Chaos Engineering practices
- Understanding of Event Sourced and CQRS systems
- Understanding of NoSQL databases
- Being or wanting to be cross-functional is a huge plus
