Pfizer’s Digital Solutions and Enablement (DSE) team develop, launch and support all externally facing digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & device) products, platforms, services, and experiences, servicing all external customer types at Pfizer.

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Digital Solutions Developer you will be responsible for delivering high quality software and solutions.  This role requires collaboration across the team of other engineers, analysts, user experience and managers.  It also requires the ability to work independently with a focus on high quality deliverables and a strong sense of accountability.  It will also require a desire for continuous learning and staying current with the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain and improve new and existing software solutions
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers and team leaders to become a valued member of a, cross-functional team
  • Deliver high quality code and solutions with a strong sense of accountability
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • MINIMUM: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and relevant technical experience with emphasis on software development and maintenance.
  • 0-2 years of experience in web and software development using basic web technologies, such as REST APIs, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of cloud application architectures
  • Understanding of Agile / DevOps

We are looking for a mix of front-end / back-end or full-stack developers/engineers. We will be seeking an ability to code with some of the following.

  • EITHER front-end experience with modern frameworks such as Angular.js, Vue.js, Ionic, Node.js
  • OR back end experience with frameworks such as PHP, Python, Laravel, Symfony
  • OR candidates with a mix of the above

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing
  • Primarily computer-based work

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Minimal travel may be required.  Ability to meet via WebEx with team members in other offices and\or regions during off-hours as needed.
