Our clients include experienced pension plans, insurance companies, government-related institutions, endowments, foundations and superannuation funds.

Client Operations Analyst

Our Client Operations team is responsible for shadow accounting on client investments at the share class and tranche specific level, including recording transactions, reconciling NAVs, and tracking fund terms, including fees, redemption frequencies, and liquidity schedules.

The position is based in Aksia’s Athens office but will include regular interaction with global colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recording transactions in the company’s Investment Management system
  • Monitoring/maintaining the department’s shared e-mail account and disseminate data as appropriate
  • Updating Aksia’s portfolio system with performance estimates and final values received from underlying investment managers
  • Reviewing month-end NAV and resolve any outstanding issues with the administrator
  • Daily reconciliation of cash flows
  • Monthly reconciliations of positions, P&L, and market value
  • Confirming validity of corporate actions
  • Reviewing of accruals and expense items
  • Interacting with investment manager, third party administrator and all relevant service providers
  • Communicating with Aksia’s Advisory team and underlying investor relations teams regarding investor subscriptions and redemptions
  • Assisting with preparing ad-hoc reports
  • Reviewing management fee, performance fee, and high watermarks calculations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable working in excel
  • Basic understanding of hedge funds and private markets funds, fund accounting, legal structure, investment objectives, fee structure, and FX hedging is a plus
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, investment performance measurements is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Motivated and hardworking
  • Proactive, self-starter
