Responsibilities

  • Creates social media campaigns in Facebook, Google AdWords, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.
  • Sets up and monitors the affiliate marketing campaign and the referral program
  • Develops and implements quarterly and annual advertising and marketing strategies to generate leads for a variety of markets across all media (broadcast, print, internet, direct mail, outdoor, events)
  • Directs the generation of advertising creative in all media
  • Manages the production of marketing, promotional and communications materials including, but not limited to, view books, catalogs, handbooks, website content, brochures, wearables, and imprinted items
  • Tracks results against goals, evaluate effectiveness of various strategies, and use results to improve or change strategies as necessary
  • Communicates effectively strategies and results to executive management.
  • Ensures that the integrity of the brand is maintained or improved through every communication; monitor the value of the brand and ensure compliance with brand standards; ensure that regulatory requirements regarding marketing in each state are met
  • Manages external vendors and agencies to meet established goals; maintain relationships; conduct searches for appropriate vendors. Conduct contract negotiations and manage contract to achieve results
  • Recruits, trains, manages and retains marketing department staff, including setting goals, evaluating performance, providing actionable feedback, developing plans for improvement, and encouraging and fostering a team atmosphere
  • Works closely with other corporate departments and campus operations, identify areas for improvement
  • Serves on cross-functional teams as necessary
  • Works closely with the Corporate Communications department to ensure advertising and marketing strategies are in line with corporate communications plans and regulatory requirements
  • Plans, conducts, and evaluates research that will provide insight and direction to marketing plans, new programs introductions, new market openings, brand strategy, etc
  • Develops budget, monitor and approve expenses against budget to ensure goals are met within budget
  • The typical sales process involves a combination of online marketing to generate leads and a live product demo to convert leads into paying customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

The candidate should:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in any major
  • Have at a minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading a social media marketing operation in a high-growth environment
  • Have some experience with Wordpress, SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Facebook Business Manager
  • Have advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient in English (Proficiency of Michigan or Cambridge is required)
  • Be detailed oriented and disciplined
