  • Working with industry and business specialists to develop comprehensive technology strategies, including IT opportunity assessment, investment portfolio management, information strategy, sourcing strategy, enterprise architecture strategy and more.
  • Create innovative and differentiated offerings, staying relevant and in sync with market demand and technology evolution.
  • Deliver advisory services in support of technology enabled business change, e.g.: package & third-party integrator selection, vendor selection, application studies, solution architecture studies and/or program diagnostics and recovery.
  • Deliver advisory services to all the C Suite functions such as CIO/CTO/CDO etc.
  • Interviewing client staff to understand key issues with how they operate today and identify opportunities for improvement in their operations and technology landscape.
  • Leveraging Accenture’s international assets and expertise to bring new ideas to clients.
  • Supporting the development of improved capabilities in clients across business processes, people and technology.
  • Developing business cases and implementation roadmaps to support investment decisions.
  • Providing project management and change management support on large scale transformation projects.
  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams to shape, propose, communicate and implement programs.
 

Qualifications

WHO WE´RE LOOKING FOR?
  • BSc with distinction or honors from a Top University in in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of key emerging methodology (Agile, DevOps, Design thinking) and how to use it to improve IT related department.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Fundamental technology skills and knowledge of basic integration architecture concepts, application styles, development methodologies and concepts, ITSM & IT governance.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Any IT Management/Governance certification will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to work constructively in teams.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Prior technology consulting experience with e.g. big consulting practice, consulting arms of main technology firms or internal consulting department of multinational will be considered a plus.
  • Prior experience in Banking covering the areas of Retail, Finance, Risk, Credit, Operations and IT will be considered an asset.

Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η διάχυση, ανάδειξη και στήριξη της Νεανικής Επιχειρηματικότητας, στο πλαίσιο της Συνεταιριστικής και Κοινωνικής Οικονομίας, ως μιας εναλλακτικής, καινοτόμου και χωρίς αποκλεισμούς προσέγγισης,  η οποία μπορεί να συμβάλει δραστικά στην αντιμετώπιση της νεανικής ανεργίας, μέσω των τριών δράσεων «CΟΟPAthon» (η πρώτη  δράση με αναφορά στην ποιοτική εκπαίδευση, η δεύτερη με αναφορά στην αξιοπρεπή εργασία και στην οικονομική ανάπτυξη  και η τελευταία  με αναφορά στην υπεύθυνη κατανάλωση και παραγωγή). Social Impact Hackathon!
Με μεγάλη μας χαρά σας καλούμε να δηλώσετε συμμετοχή στη Διαδικτυακή Εκδήλωση που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 29 Μαρτίου 2021 για την προώθηση της πράσινης κοινωνικής επιχειρηματικότητας και του εθελοντισμού! Πρόγραμμα εκδήλωσης: 12:00 – 14:00: Στρογγυλή τράπεζα με τη συμμετοχή ειδικών σε θέματα κοινωνικής επιχειρηματικότητας από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ελλάδα. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα συζητήσουν γύρω από καίριες πτυχές του τομέα, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των πρωτοβουλιών της κοινωνικής οικονομίας, που μπορούν να ενδυναμώσουν τον εθελοντισμό και να τονώσουν την απασχολησιμότητα των νέων, ανοίγοντας τον  δρόμο για μελλοντικές συνεργασίες μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. 14:00 – 15:00: Παρουσίαση 3 + 3 καλών πρακτικών κοινωνικής επιχειρηματικότητας από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ελλάδα. 15:00 – 18:00: Οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν δύο ώρες στη διάθεσή τους για να διαμορφώσουν τα βασικά σημεία της ιδέας τους και να την παρουσιάσουν (5 λεπτά) σε μια Κριτική Επιτροπή. Τα μέλη της Κριτικής Επιτροπής θα απαρτίζονται από ειδικούς από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ελλάδα. Οι τρεις καλύτερες ιδέες θα βραβευτούν με χρηματικό έπαθλο, που θα στηρίξει την υλοποίησή τους. Επιπλέον, οι νικητές θα λάβουν καθοδήγηση (coaching) για να συμμετάσχουν στον διαγωνισμό Green Ideas Greece 2021. The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (www.kios.ucy.ac.cy) at the University of Cyprus announces one (1) Senior Software Engineer position, for full-time employment. The successful candidate will work under multiple KIOS CoE projects funded by the European Union, including the flagship KIOS CoE Teaming project, as well as national or industry-funded projects. KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (KIOS CoE) The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence is the largest research center at the University of Cyprus and in 2017 was upgraded to a European Research Center of Excellence through the KIOS CoE Teaming project. Currently, the Center employs more than 145 people who are supported by externally funded research and innovation projects. KIOS provides an inspiring environment for carrying out top level research and innovation in the area of Information and Communication Technologies with emphasis on the Monitoring, Control and Security of Critical Infrastructures. Such infrastructures include power and energy systems, water networks, transportation networks, telecommunication networks and emergency management and response. The Center instigates interdisciplinary interaction and promotes collaboration between industry, academia and research organizations in high-tech areas of global importance. Job details: Short Description – Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to:
  • Develop software solutions, identifying software system requirements, perform software system analysis, design and implement software programs/systems, maintain (review, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade) existing systems, develop program and/or system documentation, including description reports, user-manuals, administrator-manuals, flowcharts/layouts/diagrams
  • Manage and/ or coordinate teams and/or projects related to his/her expertise, identify and allocate tasks, communicate and arrange meetings with all the stakeholders involved in a project and be responsible for the preparation of reports and project deliverables
  • Contribute to the KIOS CoE by assisting in the training, education and dissemination activities of the Center, attend training programs, seminars, competitions and other KIOS CoE educational and networking activities as well as be involved in the committees and/or subcommittees of the Center.
 
Profile of the ideal candidate: The ideal candidate must exhibit knowledge of the application of principles used in the field of engineering, to the design, development, testing, deployment and management of software systems, have excellent team- working skills, excellent organizational and self-management skills, very good communication skills and very good knowledge of the English and Greek Language. He/She must possess technical and analytical skills, should have the abilities of critical thinking and complex-problem solving, where he/she should be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to specific problems. Further, he/she should have to take initiatives and make decisions and have the quality of being reliable and trustworthy, self-discipline, be able to demonstrate a commitment to carrying out his/her responsibilities and have an adherence to ethical principles.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or other relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer or in a relevant software developer position.
Employment Terms: The position is on a contract basis. Initially, a two-year contract with a 6-month probation period will be offered, which is renewable based on performance. The gross monthly salary depends on the candidate’s qualifications and expertise and will be between €2900 – €4200. From this amount, employee contributions to the Cyprus Government funds will be deducted. The 13th salary bonus is incorporated in the monthly salary. Maternity leave will be granted based on Social Insurance Laws from 1980 until 2012.
