SENIOR ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT MANAGER, Valuation, Research & Advisory

Arbitrage Real Estate is a prominent real estate advisory and asset management firm headquartered in Athens with office presence in London. The firm is seeking for an experienced certified valuer and commercial advisory professional to join as a Senior Associate/Engagement Manager its Valuation, Research and Advisory team. Role’s responsibilities and candidate’s requirements are described below.

Main Responsibilities

As a member of the Valuation, Research and Advisory team, the candidate will be able to:

  • Conduct and sign accredited property valuations for major asset classes (incl. office, retail and residential) and prepare accompanying 1-pager or detailed reports for different purposes (incl. mortgage lending, IFRS, judicial etc.), according to International, European and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Valuation Standards (Valuation)
  • Oversee, review and finalise the work of junior real estate valuers and commercial analysts
  • Carry out and oversee market research work for different real estate asset classes (Market Research)
  • Prepare commercial due diligence reports and feasibility studies related to the development and investment potential of commercial real estate projects. (Advisory)
  • Provide commercial input and lead tasks in REO conversion and sale maturity projects. (Asset Management)
  • Compile presentations and ad-hoc pitching material to be used during meetings with clients and stakeholders (Client Communication)
  • Prepare bids for relevant commercial services to prospective clients (Proposals Preparation).
  • Active participation for the purpose of networking and representing the firm in business meetings, conferences, webinars, workshops and events (Market Engagement)
  • Liaise with senior management and provide support to the executive team for operational needs (Operations)

 

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to meet the educational and professional requirements listed below:

  • Certified valuer (RICS, REV or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years buy or sell side experience in valuing NPL collaterals or REOs in underwriting projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in preparing and reviewing valuation reports and presenting them to clients
  • At least 3 years professional experience in real estate valuation, advisory or investments.
  • Have a genuine interest in and knowledge of the current real estate investment activity
  • Be analytical thinker and could demonstrate market research capabilities
  • Very good quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Possess first class verbal and written communication skills, both interpersonal and business oriented
  • Have a very good command of English, both written and oral
  • Have excellent command of MS Office Suite, with focus on applications of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A driving license would be considered a plus
