Shipping Company is looking for a Shipping Accountant to join its accounting department.
Key duties and responsibilities
Undertake day to day or ad hoc accounting tasks such as:
- Recording invoices and preparing payments
- Reconciliation of MGAs
- Bank reconciliations
- Daily communication with third parties (banks, customers, suppliers etc).
- Analysis of accounting and other financial records to provide accounting information to the management
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant position in the Shipping Industry is a requirement.
- Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA) will be considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office and the English language.
- Knowledge of Danaos will be a strong asset.
