Senior Accountant Job
Description.
Job Responsibilities:
- General bookkeeping according to Greek GAAP and tax legislation
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of
transactions. - Monitor My data requirements and perform all the relevant necessary actions through the
accounting software and AADE. - Monitor and submit VAT-INTRASTAT-VIES, ΦΜΥ, withheld taxes and other tax returns
- Support the process of monthly end closing
- Reconciliations for accounts payable, receivables and banks.
- Managing financial transactions and relevant documentation.
- Review the financial systems, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis for further
development of efficiencies. - Other Ad-hoc activities (i.e. participating in finance projects, Balance Sheets & PnL
Preparation, ad hoc analysis etc.)
Job Qualifications & Skills:
- BSc in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, for at least 3-5 years.
- Excellent knowledge of local accounting, tax principles.
- Highly advanced in Microsoft’s tools.
- Fluency in written and verbal communication, Greek, and English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Tech-Oriented
