Data Scientist, Predictive Modeling and Analytics

The position
We are looking for Data Scientists that will participate in exciting/innovative program in digital health and drug discovery in order to extract hidden information in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products in collaborative with pharma too. Topics of interest include analysis and model generation of healthcare data, including but not limited to microbiome genomics, medical history and pharmaceutical spend.
Where you’d fit in:
- Extraction and analysis of large healthcare claims data
- Develop and implement statistical, and machine learning models for healthcare analytics
- Build data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Process, clean and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
- Implement ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience on machine learning techniques for predictive analytics
- Strong applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, feature screening/selection
- Proficiency in Python/R, SQL,
- Experience at managing and designing relational and no-relational databases
- Engineering background, knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
- Academic training in Data Science, Statistics, Operation research or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to collaborate and flexibility to work closely with a team of various skill sets and expertise
- System design skills and ability to base engineering decisions on product vision
In our ideal world, you’d also have one or more of these:
- Comprehension of healthcare data (e.g., ICD-9/ICD-10, claims, profiling), statistical analysis experience such as: multivariate and structural equation modeling and demonstrated understanding of health care and delivery system processes
- PhD with published projects in the fields Health Data Analytics and machine learning
