Java Software Developer
Unit of Process Control & Informatics, National Technical University of Athens
The research interests and activities of the unit focus on design, modeling, identification, optimization and control of products, systems and processes. We are particularly interested on data-driven modeling and on the development and application of information and web-based technologies. We are working extensively in the scientific areas of computational intelligence, machine learning and data mining.
The Unit is seeking a full-time Java Software Developer.
Job Role:
- Development of RESTful web services
- Maintenance and extension of a Java REST application
- Collaboration with partners in Europe (companies, Universities, research centers) in European IT projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience in Java and RESTful web services
• Ability to work in a team environment, manage assigned tasks and schedules and meet project deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent command of English
Desirable experience:
- Experience in semantic web technologies (ontologies, JSON-LD)
- Experience in MongoDB and Swagger Framework
- Experience in Docker containers/Kubernetes
- Experience in DevOps
