The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (CoE) (www.kios.ucy.ac.cy) at the University of Cyprus announces one (1) Research Engineering position focusing on Risk Management for full-time employment. We are looking for an enthusiast, self-motivated research engineer to conduct research and development activities within the context of research and innovation, as well as provide technical and research support in the area of risk management in electric utilities. Additionally, will implement and/or support ongoing and new projects (under the KIOS Innovation Hub) in order for the Center to achieve its strategic objectives. The candidate will have the chance to work and interact with a large industrial organization in the energy sector in order to conduct applied research in the area of risk management.
Who we are: The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence is the largest research center at the University of Cyprus and in 2017 was upgraded to a European Research Center of Excellence through the KIOS CoE Teaming project. Currently, the Center employs more than 170 people who are supported by externally funded research and innovation projects. Job Details Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the below duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop methodologies for risk evaluation in the working environment of an electric utility
  • Design and implement effective processes to monitor all the risks
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies according to several international standards
  • Analyze and report the risks through statistics and smart tools
  • Assist and work on the development of software for risk evaluation, monitoring and mitigation
  • Develop training material related to risk management
  • Prepare project reports and deliverables.

Employment Terms: The positions are on a contract basis. Initially, a one-year contract will be offered, which is renewable based on performance. The gross monthly salary depends on the candidate’s qualifications and experience and will be between €1500 and €2500. From this amount, employee contributions to the Cyprus government funds will be deducted. The 13th salary bonus is incorporated in the monthly salary. Maternity leave will be granted based on Social Insurance Laws from 1980 until 2012.

The program is offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus in collaboration with the KIOS CoE and Imperial College London, UK. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and can cover up to 100% of the tuition fees. In addition, there is the option for successful scholarship applicants to receive a monthly salary for part-time employment at KIOS CoE. MSc Program Information The Program’s objective is to teach highly innovative intelligent system methods and tools from emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The main purpose is to tackle challenging problems in modern Cyber-Physical Systems, with emphasis on monitoring, control, management and security in critical infrastructure systems. These systems include electric power and energy systems, water distribution networks, telecommunication networks, transportation systems, and emergency response systems. The program offers a unique opportunity for professionals working in critical infrastructure systems to further specialize and formalize their education with the newest ICT approaches relevant to modern infrastructures. Moreover, it provides an excellent option for students with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or natural and applied sciences who want to pursue a professional career in critical infrastructure systems or an advanced research career by progressing with a PhD degree in the field. The duration of the program is 3 semesters (1.5 years) and is available to study part-time (6 semesters / 3 years). Job Details Short Description/Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidates will have the opportunity to conduct fundamental or applied research in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies with emphasis on the Monitoring, Control and Security of Critical Infrastructure Systems. They will be encouraged to produce, submit and publish research results in international conferences and journals, with a view to acquire the PhD degree. They will also be expected to assist and contribute to various projects of KIOS CoE in order to accomplish its strategic objectives.
Profile of the ideal candidate: The ideal candidate must possess excellent knowledge of the English Language, have strong self- management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must possess technical and analytical skills and the knowledge needed to perform specific mechanical, information technology, mathematical or scientific tasks. He/She must have the ability of critical thinking, where he/she should be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to specific problems. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage effectively his/her own time is essential.

  • Bachelor`s or Master’s in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering) or Computer Science or Mathematics or a related field from an accredited institution.

  Το Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών Πρωτοβάθμια Φροντίδα Υγείας και το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας σε συνεργασία με την Πνευμονολογική Κλινική του Π.Γ.Ν.Λ., διοργανώνουν για 6η συνεχή χρονιά διαγωνισμό με τίτλο: « Κοιτάζοντας το μέλλον με τα μάτια ενός παιδιού Στο διαγωνισμό μπορούν να λάβουν μέρος όλοι οι Έλληνες – Κύπριοι πολίτες της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού είτε Ενήλικες ανεξαρτήτου Ηλικίας είτε ανήλικοι που συνυπογράφουν την αίτηση συμμετοχής οι γονείς τους. Σκοπός του διαγωνισμού είναι να δοθεί η ευκαιρία στους συμμετέχοντες να εκφραστούν είτε με κείμενα έως 5.000 λέξεων είτε να απεικονίσουν καλλιτεχνικά με τη «γλώσσα» της ζωγραφικής την ιδέα τους η οποία θα είναι βασισμένη στον τίτλο του φετινού διαγωνισμού. Στο διαγωνισμό μπορούν να συμμετέχουν και διαφορετικές μορφές όπως είναι φωτογραφία – κολάζ κ.α. Ο διαγωνισμός ξεκινά με την 1η ανάρτηση του (20 Φεβρουαρίου 2022) και καταληκτική ημερομηνία υποβολής των συμμετοχών είναι η 15η Ιουλίου 2022. Όλα τα έργα θα πρέπει να αποσταλούν με ηλεκτρονικό τρόπο και συγκεκριμένα στο email i.ch.lampropoulos@gmail.com, όπου και θα λαμβάνεται απαντητικό email για την επιβεβαίωση παραλαβής. Τα έργα που θα υποβληθούν θα πρέπει να συνοδεύονται οπωσδήποτε από την αίτηση συμμετοχής των υποψηφίων η οποία βρίσκεται αμέσως μετά τους όρους συμμετοχής. Η υπογραφή και υποβολή της συμπληρωμένης αίτησης συμμετοχής (είτε ολογράφως ηλεκτρονικά) δηλώνει την πλήρη αποδοχή των όρων του διαγωνισμού και δηλώνεται από τον/την υποψήφιο/α η έγκριση επεξεργασίας των στοιχείων του για τους λόγους του διαγωνισμού, αποστολή email, σχετικών με το διαγωνισμό ή και μελλοντικούς διαγωνισμούς.  Δεν υπάρχει περιορισμός συμμετοχών. Με την υποβολή των έργων οι υποψήφιοι συναινούν για την έκδοση ηλεκτρονικού βιβλίου (eBook) καθώς και με την αναγραφή των στοιχείων τους. (Εάν κάποιος δεν επιθυμεί να αναγραφεί το ονοματεπώνυμο του στο eBook καλείται να το αναγράψει στο αντίστοιχο πεδίο της αίτησης).  Το eBook θα διατίθεται δωρεάν και θα είναι αναρτημένο στην σελίδα του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος (http://acare.med.uth.gr/ανακοινώσεις/). Στην ίδια ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση βρίσκονται και τα προηγούμενα ebook. Όσο αφορά τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά των κειμένων που θα υποβληθούν θα πρέπει να είναι σε έγγραφο word. Εάν κάποιος δεν επιθυμεί να αναγραφεί το ονοματεπώνυμο του στο eBook καλείται στα στοιχεία συγγραφέα να αναγράψει την λέξη «άγνωστος». Συστήνεται αν τα κείμενα αφορούν πραγματικές καταστάσεις να μην αναφέρονται τα αληθή ονόματα τυχόν συμμετεχόντων για περιγραφές καταστάσεων. Όσο αφορά τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά των έργων σε πρώτη φάση ζητείται να στείλετε σε μορφή jpg αρχείου το έργο σας. Εάν επιθυμείτε να συμμετέχετε με άλλο τρόπο παρακαλούμε επικοινωνήστε με το email για να σας ενημερώσουμε για τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά. Η Οργανωτική Επιτροπή του διαγωνισμού ορίζεται από την Διοίκηση του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος Σπουδών και μπορεί να απαρτίζεται από Καθηγητές του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, Ακαδημαϊκούς Υποτρόφους, Υποψήφιους Διδάκτορες,  Καλλιτέχνες, Εκπαιδευτικούς Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης,  Εκπροσώπους Φοιτητών ή Αποφοίτων του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος. Για την έκδοση του ηλεκτρονικού βιβλίου eBook δεν θα γίνει βράβευση συγκεκριμένων έργων και όλοι οι συμμετέχοντες θα λάβουν Τιμητική Διάκριση την ώρα της παρουσίασης του ηλεκτρονικού βιβλίου η οποία θα λάβει χώρα στην πόλη του Βόλου στο Ετήσιο Συνέδριο Πνευμονολογίας της Πνευμονολογικής Κλινικής του Πανεπιστημιακού Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Λάρισας, όπου και θα ενημερωθείτε σε δεύτερο χρόνο! Για όσους συμμετέχοντες δεν καταφέρουν να παρευρεθούν στην παρουσίαση του eBook και την τελετή απονομής των Τιμητικών Διακρίσεων ο τρόπος αποστολής τους θα είναι μέσω email. Σύντομη περιγραφή-Σεμινάριο Διαχείρισης Χρόνου, Μάρτιος 2022
Το Διαδικτυακό Σεμινάριο Διαχείρισης Χρόνου, διάρκειας 120 λεπτών, θα μέσω της πλατφόρμας Big Blue Button την Πέμπτη 03/03/2022, 15:00-17:00. Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι/-ες φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες θα δηλώνουν συμμετοχή μέσω της ιστοσελίδας accessibility.unipi.gr και θα τους αποστέλλεται ένα αυτοματοποιημένο email με το link στο οποίο θα μπορούν να παρακολουθήσουν το σεμινάριο.

Τα μέσα διεξαγωγής του σεμιναρίου αποτελούνται από παρουσίαση PowerPoint, διάλογο και βιωματικές ασκήσεις. Ο μέγιστος αριθμός των συμμετεχόντων/ συμμετεχουσών θα είναι δέκα άτομα.

Οι στόχοι και τα προσδοκώμενα αποτελέσματα για τους συμμετέχοντες/ τις συμμετέχουσες είναι η εκμάθηση δεξιοτήτων θέσπισης στόχων, δεξιοτήτων προγραμματισμού και συγκεκριμένων τεχνικών διαχείρισης χρόνου. Το σεμινάριο λαμβάνει χώρα στο πλαίσιο της υλοποίησης του Έργου «Κοινωνική Μέριμνα Φοιτητών Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς».

  • Υπεύθυνος Εγκατάστασης νέων συστημάτων Access Control, Time & Attendance, Parking, Συναγερμών, CCTV
  • Υπεύθυνος Εποπτείας και Συντονισμού Συνεργατών για την Εγκατάσταση νέων συστημάτων Access Control, Time & Attendance, Parking, Συναγερμών, CCTV
  • Διαχείριση παραλαβών και αποθεμάτων εξοπλισμού έργων
  • Τεχνική Υποστήριξη στο πεδίο, υφιστάμενων πελατών τόσο σε υλισμικό όσο και σε λογισμικό (1st level)
  • Τεχνική Υποστήριξη / Εκσφαλμάτωση εξοπλισμού στο εργαστήριο
Απαραίτητα Προσόντα:
  • Πτυχίο Σχολής Ηλεκτρονικών ή Ηλεκτρολόγων.
  • Άδεια Εργασίας Υπηρεσιών Ασφαλείας (Security) (τύπου Β’)
  • Άριστη γνώση της Αγγλικής γλώσσας σε γραπτό και προφορικό λόγο
  • Γνώση χειρισμού Η/Υ και άριστη χρήση MS Office
  • Άδεια οδήγησης
  • Ολοκληρωμένες στρατιωτικές υποχρεώσεις (για άνδρες υποψηφίους)
  • Απαιτείται εμπειρία τουλάχιστον 3 ετών – αποδεδειγμένη με συστατικές επιστολές.
  • Ηλικίας μέχρι 30 ετών.
