Are you a programmer with solid quantitative skills and the ability of decomposing complex data structures into engaging visualisations? Are you fascinated by AI and machine learning concepts and algorithms? If so we have an opportunity for a Junior Machine Learning Engineer that will be part of a talented software team working on the development of novel data visualization and machine learning projects. You will be responsible for application development while providing expertise in the software development lifecycle, from technical architecture to functional testing.

Description of position Typical Responsibilities
  • Investigate, design and implement intuitive data visualizations.
  • Assess and select suitable machine learning algorithms and toolsets for the project at hand.
  • Analyse and clean large datasets.
  • Follow approved lifecycle methodologies and perform coding, testing and debugging.
  • Work autonomously (as part of a larger team) to investigate problems in a given codebase, identify the root cause and propose, develop and test a stable technical solution.
Requirements To be successful, your résumé would need to clearly illustrate the following:
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
  • Proven hands-on development with more than 1 year of professional experience.
  • Very good knowledge of data modelling and evaluation.
  • Very good knowledge of data visualization concepts and libraries.
  • Excellent programming knowledge in any of R, Python or Javascript.
  • Working experience in machine learning toolkits, libraries and APIs (e.g. TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Theano, Spark MLlib etc).
  • Linux experience (any flavour).
The Following will be considered a plus:
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (i.e. SCRUM, LEAN, KANBAN).
  • NoSQL database experience.
  • Experience in developing with JavaScript visualization libraries.

  • Building, extending and maintaining native Android and iOS, and also JavaScript-based hybrid applications (React, React Native, Backbone, Node).
  • Managing apps on stores.
  • Working with analysts, designers, understanding project requirements and mockups.
  • Testing cross-device, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

Requirements (generic):
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

  • Utilize the phone, LinkedIn, and other outreach methods to recruit new Advisors to join the Guidepoint network by effectively communicating why their expertise is a good match for the specific project you’re working on
  • Screen experts for their suitability for specific client projects and create professional profiles for client consideration
  • Coordinate with Guidepoint Advisors to obtain required information for Project Managers
  • Operate with a teamwork mentality that leads to building and maintaining strong relationships with other Guidepoint employees, offices, and Advisors
  • Gain expertise on the various industries our clients work in order to make sure Guidepoint always finds the right experts for a given project
  • Work from 14:30 to 23:00 (incl. 30-minute break)
  • Ability to work from home

  • Coordinate with advisors to confirm telephone consultations
  • Leave messages and follow up with Advisors to expedite scheduling projects
  • Maintain an updated status of client telephone consultations
  • Update Advisors’ profiles as needed
  • Qualify Advisors via questionnaire to confirm if they are appropriate for consultations
  • Follow multiple work streams to help Project Managers organize client requests and track progress on projects
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests
What You Have:
  • Strong team player with entrepreneurial mind and „can do“-attitude along with pro-active and results-oriented work style
  • 1-3 years of experience in running a schedule and/or high call volume environment is a plus
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills required

  • Develop and maintain inventory controls and procedures to maintain accurate cost data for all products and ensure integrity of financial statements
  • Recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and timeliness of the accounting close and reporting process.
  • Control of valuations – production cost
  • Management of cost items (cost centers – cost data – statistical indicators)
