OPERATION ENGINEER /SUPPORT ENGINEER

The Role:
The Operation Engineer will be responsible for setting up, configuring, testing and reporting day to day operational tasks during Campaigns execution and live service operation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the company’s respective Departments and will have the unique opportunity to work with the latest industry technologies to ensure quality maintenance and maximization.
The Operation Engineer is also responsible for supporting and providing solutions for technical issues for enterprise java applications and services across multiple environments. Also, he/she shall continuously monitor the company’s infrastructure by following standard procedures and utilizing all available tools.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform service configuration
- Monitor Service performance to ensure delivery
- Provide status report, create and keep adequate documentation for follow up and drive root cause analysis that address existing and potential areas of improvement
- Review and ensure designs are in compliance with specifications and that specifications cover all needed aspects of the implementation
- Automate day-to-day tasks
- Provide 1st line support for services
- Actively monitor services
- Install, configure, and tune java applications
- Provide primary on-call support 24/7
Candidate profile:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or similar discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- High capacity to multi-task multiple initiatives with attention to detail
- Ability to take over critical operational tasks and handle them responsibly
- Ability to work in an environment requiring tenacity and problem solving
- Basic knowledge of Linux
Additional Skills that will be considered a plus:
- Working experience in Oracle and Mysql Databases
- Experience in Systems Administration Linux
- Shell scripting Programming (bash, optionally perl and python)
- Experience in Mobile/Online Marketing campaigns
- Previous collaboration with Mobile Operators
