Στο πλαίσιο του Ερευνητικού Έργου με τίτλο «EUROGEOSS Showcases: Applications powered by Europe (E-SHAPE) που χρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΘΕΣΗΣ: Physicist / Mathematician Στο πλαίσιο της παρούσας Πρόσκλησης προκηρύσσεται μία (1) θέση έκτακτου προσωπικού, Φυσικού ή Μαθηματικού, για σύναψη σύμβασης μίσθωσης έργου, που θα απασχοληθεί στο ΕΑΑ/ΙΑΑΔΕΤ, με κωδικό θέσης: ΠΕΜΑ1. ΑΝΤΙΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ Το Ινστιτούτο Αστρονομίας, Αστροφυσικής, Διαστημικών Εφαρμογών και Τηλεπισκόπησης του Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών το οποίο φιλοξενεί το Κέντρο Αριστείας BEYOND, έχει αναπτύξει τα τελευταία χρόνια τεχνολογίες αιχμής στη Δορυφορική Παρατήρηση της Γης και έχει καταφέρει να τοποθετηθεί ανάμεσα σε παραδοσιακά Ευρωπαϊκά ιδρύματα και φορείς του χώρου. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο το Κέντρο διαχειρίζεται μια σειρά από Ευρωπαϊκά έργα χρηματοδότησης και έχει καταφέρει να δημιουργήσει μια σταθερή ομάδα τριάντα περίπου επιστημόνων. Το αντικείμενο της σύμβασης σχετίζεται με τη δημιουργία και λειτουργία σε επιχειρησιακό επίπεδο ενός συστήματος που θα πραγματοποιεί την πρόγνωση νεφών καθώς και των οπτικών τους ιδιοτήτων με τη μέθοδο της διανυσματικής ανάλυσης κίνησης νεφών (Cloud Motion Vector, CMV) για την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ευρώπης και Βορείου Αφρικής. Τα δεδομένα νέφωσης προέρχονται από τον γεωστάσιμο μετεωρολογικό δορυφόρο Meteosat. Ο επιθυμητός ορίζοντας πρόγνωσης ορίζεται στις 0-6 ώρες, ενώ η ακρίβεια των προγνώσεων θα αξιολογηθεί ως προς τις πραγματικές δορυφορικές εικόνες. Ο υποψήφιος απαιτείται να έχει εμπειρία σε τεχνικές image processing, cloud identification, wind fields, probablilistic models καθώς και άριστες γνώσεις προγραμματισμού (C++ ή/και Matlab) σε περιβάλλον linux ή/και windows server. Η έρευνα και η τεχνολογία που θα αναπτύξει ο συνεργάτης θα εφαρμοστούν πάνω σε θέματα ηλιακής πρόγνωσης της ηλιακής ενεργειακής στα πλαίσια του ερευνητικού έργου E- SHAPE H2020. Τα παραπάνω θα συμπεριληφθούν σε παραδοτέα που θα αποτυπωθούν στις συμβάσεις που θα συναφθούν ανάμεσα στο ΕΑΑ/ΙΑΑΔΕΤ και στο επιλεγέν προσωπικό. Η ορθή εκτέλεση και ο έλεγχος των παραδοτέων του έργου θα πιστοποιείται με βεβαίωση παραλαβής και καλής εκτέλεσης του έργου, η οποία θα υπογράφεται από τον Επιστημονικά Υπεύθυνο του έργου Χ. Κοντοέ και τον ερευνητή του ΕΑΑ/ΙΕΠΒΑ Σ. Καζαντζή.

3. Εμπειρία σε χρήση και επεξεργασία γεωχωρικών δεδομένων και δεδομένων δορυφορικής Τηλεπισκόπησης και Παρατήρησης της Γης.

Software Developer –Fixed term position (ref: MT_SDP_19)

• Leveraging your knowledge, you will play a key role in development and implementation in close collaboration with the architects and backend team, and
• Understanding and clarifying product specifications, implementation of the code and regression testing.

EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES:

• Undergraduate student in IT/relevant studies, being at the semester of his/her internship is mandatory.
• Knowledge of one of the following languages: C / C# / Java / .Net
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the relevance of different tools at different stages of the development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of coding and data structure principles, and application of coding standards
• Good understanding of unit testing principles, including the creation of unit test harnesses
