We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented candidate to join us as IC Specialist.

As an Intercompany Specialist, you will be responsible for processing intercompany invoices and transactions, performing intercompany reconciliations and netting as well as handling and resolving disputes between counterparties in accordance with Group policy. You will also be responsible for performing lease accounting as per IFRS16 requirements.

Ideally, you should be working in collaboration with the various departments involved in the intercompany process and contribute to process improvement initiatives. In addition to this, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Work across the following processes: Processing intercompany invoices AR & AP for cost recharges, internal fees and international collections, intercompany loans transactions, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, month-end and year-end accounting cycles.
  • Work as a member of a team of accountants responsible for the intercompany process and to reflect accurately the nature of intercompany transactions within the ERP and the intercompany netting/reconciliation tool while ensuring compliance to internal controls.
  • Ensure that intercompany accounts are reconciled in a timely and accurate manner in the netting & reconciliation tool in accordance with Group policy.
  • Ensure that intercompany balances are settled or netted in the netting and reconciliation tool in accordance with Group policy.
  • Handling and resolving disagreements between counterparties over intercompany transactions via the Dispute handling process.
  • Perform asset accounting for new leases and modifications as per IFRS16 requirements.
  • Provide inputs and collaborate with other teams in continuous process improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Assist the Intercompany Manager in maintaining open communication channels with intercompany counterparts developing high standards for service delivery by the Finance Center of Excellence to all Intrum legal entities.
  • Assist the Intercompany Manager to achieve established quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience within Accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or General Accounting) needed
  • Previous experience in Finance Shared Services environment is beneficial
  • Degree In Accounting/Finance
  • Knowledge of Navision/Workday accounting systems is beneficial
  • Experience with Reporting Packages (e.g Cognos) is a plus
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Integrity and ability to work in a team, cooperate with others
  • Good communication skills
  • Analysis/problem solving, accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Very good organization and process orientation
  • Ability to work under limited supervision or individually
