Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Consulting Consultant, you’ll have the opportunity to join IBM Associate program – a development program designed to provide the full-spectrum of structured training, development, and practical experience necessary to successfully launch and accelerate your career. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contributing to top clients in collaboration with smart people in a dynamic environment.
- Working on projects that help clients integrate process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs.
- Mastering new skills, working across different disciplines, and moving into new challenges.
- Employing IBM’s Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
- Working with a variety of relational databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and JQuery).
- Creating everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a viable product.
- Design and implement Integration solutions that interconnect modern distributed platforms and technologies with middleware, APIs, Microservices and Enteprise Systems, using a wide variety of protocols (REST, SOAP, MQ, SQL, NoSql, distributed Caching) and automation (devops) capabilities.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor degree in , Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent subject – eager to continuously embrace new challenges, able to perform without full experience and always interested in learning.
- Ability to work in projects across Europe, independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to solve problems, manage own time, communicate effectively, self-organize
- Ability to explore and learn new technologies
- Familiarity with REST or SOAP services/APIs
- Good knowledge of SQL queries against Relational databases.
- Authorized to work in Greece.
- Languages: Greek (native) / English (C1 or C2 level)
- No pending military obligations.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Msc degree in one of the above fields is appreciated though not mandatory.
