DATA & PERFORMANCE ENGINEER
Latsco Shipping Ltd., located in the north suburbs of Athens and representing a fleet of Oil /Chemical Tankers, LPG and LNG Carriers is looking to recruit a Data & Performance Engineer to join the Operational Technology and Energy Management Department, on a fixed term contract.
Position Requirements
- Design and implement Azure data solutions
- Design process for both streaming and batch data, virtualization and publishing of processed data
- Develop applications in programming language(s) such as Python, SQL
- Monitor and analyse vessels’ performance reports & trends and identify areas of optimization
- Participate in pilot projects and technical workshops for new and advanced machineries and alternative fuels
- Monitor and analyse environmental performance of vessel with regards to GHG study pollutants.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering
- A post-graduate degree in relevant field will be considered a plus
- Up to 2 years’ experience in a relevant position
- Knowledge of programming languages (such as Python, Java, Javascript, SQL)
- Excellent command of using computer systems
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in both written and oral communication in English
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Cooperative with positive attitude and strong teamwork attitude
- Self-Motivated and able to work independently
