We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented

Junior Financial Officer

You will join KMOP in our offices in N. Erythraia and facilitate the efficient and effective financial monitoring of the EU-funded projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all project-related financial transactions in the organization’s financial monitoring system
  • Maintain an effective and efficient filing system
  • Check expenditures against project budgets, assist in the preparation of monthly expenditure reports and properly file financial documents for reporting purposes
  • Assist with the quarterly, six-month, and annual donor reports preparation
  • Review EU/international project partners’ eligibility for expenses in accordance with the respective program’s requirements
  • Cooperation with the accounting department on any issues related to monitoring, tracking, and processing of project-related payments

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-2 years of proven working experience in finance- Experience in an NGO and/or European Programs, budgeting, and reporting is a plus
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent Computer skills and MS Office
  • Strong language skills (both written and oral) in Greek and English.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and determination to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
