About the Conference
The Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies, the Laboratory of Education Policy, Research, Development and Interuniversity Cooperation and the Laboratory of Eastern Mediterranean, Middle and Major East: Economy-Politics-Civilization of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, organize the International Conference “The European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area: The role of the Universities and Research Centers in smart specialization and growth”, which will take place on April 18-19 2019 at the University of Piraeus premises, 80 Karaoli & Dimitriou St, Piraeus.
The Conference is organized in cooperation with the Dipartimento di Scienze Economico-Aziendali e Diritto per l’Economia of the Bicocca Universita’Degli Studi di Milano.
Call for Papers
The Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies aims to bring together leading academics, researchers, and junior scholars to share their experiences and research results on the role of the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area in smart specialization, growth and employability. The Conference will provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators.
The conference will be conducted in Greek and English.

Notification of acceptance to successful authors; instructions for preparing the paper, case study, poster as well as presentation will be provided

Full paper (optional), good practice case study, next practice and poster submission deadline.
Full paper contributions should be between 3000-6000 words
Selected papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
