The position: Analyzing metagenomic data from bacterial communities, including assessing and developing pipelines and computational approaches suited for our data. The ability to collaborate and assess current methods and provide suggestions for accurate but innovative techniques with intellectual and technical rigor will be crucial. Where you’d fit in:- Coordinate metagenomic analysis and processing
- Map reads to bacterial genome sequences to determine the composition of sample aliquots.
- Develop tools for aggregating data and visualization

Με βασικό γνώμονα τα Soft Skills, το Soft Skills Academy 2019προσφέρει στους συμμετέχοντες 4 ημέρες γεμάτες trainings από καταξιωμένους επαγγελματίες του χώρου και φοιτητές με σχετική εμπειρία.Το event απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές και νέους αποφοίτους που προέρχονται από όλες τις σχολές Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης, ενώ πίσω από την διοργάνωση βρίσκεται ο πανευρωπαϊκός, φοιτητικός οργανισμός EESTEC LC Athens του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου.
Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί από την Πέμπτη 5 Δεκεμβρίουμέχρι την Κυριακή 8 Δεκεμβρίουστις εγκαταστάσεις του New York College στην Αθήνα με ώρες διεξαγωγής από τις 09:30 π.μ. έως τις 20:30 μ.μ. και θα περιλαμβάνει 2 διαδραστικά σεμινάρια (training sessions) αλλά και ενδιάμεσα activities κάθε μέρα.
Ως soft skills ορίζουμε το μείγμα τεχνικών και επικοινωνιακών δεξιοτήτων, οι οποίες είναι χρήσιμες για την επαγγελματική εξέλιξη και ανέλιξη του κάθε φοιτητή και μελλοντικού
εργαζ όμενου, αλλά για τη συγκρότηση της ολοκληρωμένης, πολύπλευρης προσωπικότητάς του.
Τα χαρακτηριστικά αυτά είναι πλέον περιζήτητα στον κάθε κλάδο εργασίας, ωστόσο δεν έχουν ενσωματωθεί ακόμη στην υποχρεωτική εκπαίδευση των νέων. Εμείς, στο Soft Skills Academy, μεριμνούμε για αυτό και βάζουμε ως στόχο να ολοκληρώσουν οι συμμετέχοντες στο σεμινάριο όσο το δυνατόν πιο γεμάτοι από νέες πληροφορίες και δεξιότητες.
Στα πλαίσια του event θα πραγματοποιηθούν συνολικά οκτώ (8) διαδραστικά trainings από καταρτισμένους, έμπειρους trainers και life coaches. Οι θεματικές, πάνω στις οποίες θα εξασκηθούν όσοι καταφέρουν να κερδίσουν μια θέση στο event, θα είναι σχετικές με goal setting, peak performance, leadership κ.ά.
Για δηλώσεις συμμετοχής παρακαλούνται οι υποψήφιοι να συμπληρώσουν την αίτηση τους μέχρι την Παρασκευή 15 Νοεμβρίου και ώρα 23:59.
Δεκτά θα γίνουν μόνο εξήντα (60) άτομα(που θα χωριστούν σε τρεις ομάδες) των οποίων η επιλογή θα γίνει βάσει των αιτήσεων τους, χωρίς κάποιο κόστος συμμετοχής.Συνεπώς, οι ενδιαφερόμενοι παρακαλούνται να αφιερώσουν τον απαιτούμενο χρόνο, προκειμένου η αίτηση να αντανακλά το ενδιαφέρον τους.
Η παρουσία των συμμετεχόντων είναι υποχρεωτική και τις τέσσερις (4) ημέρες,ενώ θα δοθεί πιστοποιητικό παρακολούθησηςμετά το πέρας του τετραημέρου.

Εθελοντική εργασία ή πρακτική άσκηση στον Σύλλογο Σκελετικής Υγείας Πεταλούδα
Ο Σύλλογος Σκελετικής Υγείας Πεταλούδα είναι ένα μη κερδοσκοπικό σωματείο επίσημα αναγνωρισμένο από τον IOF (International Osteoporosis Foundation). Αποτελεί το μοναδικό αναγνωρισμένο σωματείο, το οποίο απευθύνεται στο κοινό και σαν κύριο στόχο έχει την ενημέρωση γύρω από τη σκελετική υγεία, τη διατροφή, την άσκηση, τη ψυχολογία, την πρόληψη και τη αντιμετώπιση των νόσων που σχετίζονται με αυτή. Η δραστηριότητά του επεκτείνεται στην ενημέρωση και συμβουλευτική μέσω ημερίδων, σεμιναρίων, συνεδρίων και ενημερωτικών εντύπων, τα οποία αναλύουν σημαντικά θέματα της σκελετικής μας υγείας. Αποτέλεσμα της πολύχρονης αυτής προσπάθειας ήταν η Πεταλούδα, Σύλλογος Σκελετικής Υγείας να κατακτήσει την πρώτη θέση για την εξέχουσα πορεία του, μεταξύ 186 χωρών, στο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο που διεξήχθη στο Miami των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών καθώς και το 1ο βραβείο μεταξύ 212 χωρών για τη δημιουργία της καλύτερης καμπάνιας δημοσιοποίησης (Best Media Campaign), στο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο των Συλλόγων για την Οστεοπόρωση που διεξήχθη στο Ελσίνκι της Φινλανδίας. Τέλος, ο Σύλλογός μας κέρδισε το Bronze βραβείο στα Healthcare Business Awards για την προσφορά των 1000 εξετάσεων οστικής πυκνότητας DEXA σε συμπολίτες μας πανελλαδικά!
