The successful candidates will analyze, design, implement, maintain and document software solutions under multiple KIOS CoE projects funded by the European Union, including the flagship KIOS CoE Teaming project, as well as national or industry-funded projects. • Assist and work on the design, development, modification, debugging and maintenance of Back-end/Front-end software code according to the functional and non-functional software requirements.
• Build rapid prototypes and work on fast-paced projects.
• Follow software engineering standards, software development methodologies and release processes, to ensure code is maintainable and scalable.
• Demonstrate the software products to stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports and project deliverables.
• Work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews.
• Develop and maintain world-class components and services in different languages and technologies.

The required skills and expertise for the announced positions include one or more of the following areas:

• Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Other.
• Server related backend development including Apache, Nginx, Linux.
• Frameworks/Libraries including Django, Flask, FastAPI, JQuery, Bootstrap, Other.
• APIs such as: RESTful API, SOAP and Other.
• Containerization such as Docker.

Employment Terms: The positions are on a contract basis. Initially, a one-year contract will be offered, with a 6-month probation period, which is renewable based on performance. The gross monthly salary depends on the candidate’s qualifications and experience and will be between €1800 – €2500. From this amount, employee contributions to the Cyprus government funds will be deducted. A 13th salary bonus is incorporated in the monthly salary. Maternity leave will be granted based on Maternity Protection Law 1997(Ν.100(Ι)/1997), and the existing amendment laws. • Liaise with various stakeholders regarding data analysis.
• Analyze, interpret, and model transportation data from various sources, including spatial data, while adhering to established reporting and visualization standards, and develop innovative, user-friendly processes that can be effectively applied across different applications.
• Utilize data analysis software and programming experience to perform tasks such as optimizing data models, creating and maintaining API services, and developing tools for data transformation, mapping, and validation.
• Write technical documentation and user guides to support both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Create data visualizations, charts, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

The required skills and expertise for the announced position include the following: Proven experience with data analysis software and programming, including:

• UML
• XML Schema (XSD) and JSON Schema
• Web services and APIs (SOAP and RESTful APIs)
• Programming languages such as Python and C++
