Your team

You will be part of the Secretariat of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB). The ESRB is an independent EU body responsible for the macroprudential oversight of the EU financial system and the prevention and mitigation of systemic risk.
The ESRB brings together representatives from around 80 institutions, including central banks and supervisors, as well as independent experts. It collects and analyses information on a wide range of financial institutions and markets, monitors macro-financial developments, and issues warnings and recommendations to policymakers and supervisors. Further information is available on the ESRB’s website.
The ESRB Secretariat is part of the European Central Bank (ECB) and provides analytical, statistical, logistical and administrative support to the ESRB. Our tasks include identifying and analysing systemic risks to the EU financial system, assessing and proposing macroprudential policies, preparing ESRB warnings and recommendations and monitoring their implementation, cooperating with supervisory and other macroprudential authorities, supporting ESRB working groups and preparing documents for meetings of the ESRB General Board and its substructures.
In your role as a trainee, you will contribute to the analytical work of the team to identify and assess systemic risks in the EU financial sector and to develop the policies to address such risks. You will provide input for the ESRB’s working groups and substructures. The content of your traineeship will depend on your skillset and the specific projects the Secretariat is involved in.

Your role

As a trainee you will:
  • support the analytical work of the ESRB Secretariat;
  • analyse developments in the EU financial system, using various datasets and sources of information;
  • contribute to the identification and analysis of financial stability risks related to the banking sector, non-bank financial intermediaries, financial market infrastructure and markets;
  • support the development of a system-wide stress test of the EU financial system;
  • contribute to the assessment of macroprudential policies in the EU;
  • participate in and contribute to the work of ESRB committees.
The traineeship offers you excellent opportunities to work on financial stability topics relating to the whole financial system. You will gain experience in financial stability analysis through regular use of data analysis tools and models and by contributing to meetings, presentations and key ESRB reports. Qualifications, experience and skills

Essential:
  • a bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, econometrics, banking, business administration, finance, statistics or another relevant field;
  • a keen interest in financial stability and macroprudential policy;
  • proficiency in empirical analysis using statistical and data management packages (e.g. EViews, Excel VBA, MATLAB, Python, R, R Shiny, SAS, Stata, SQL and Tableau);
  • an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Desired:
  • sound knowledge of one or more of the following areas: macroeconomics, monetary or prudential policies, financial markets, banks, financial stability, investment funds, financial supervision, central counterparties, insurance, pension funds or cybersecurity;
  • experience with financial market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, LSEG and S&P Global Market Intelligence), official financial sector, economic and banking statistics (e.g. from the ECB, Eurostat and the Bank for International Settlements) and/or micro-level data (e.g. firm-level data);
  • experience in drafting for, and/or presenting a topic to, a wide audience.

Technology and Infrastructure Expert – Intrum

Are you our new Technology & Infrastructure Expert? As a Technology & Infrastructure Expert at Intrum in Athens, you will play a critical role in driving and coordinating all infrastructure-related initiatives during a highly transformative period for the organization. What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in financial services or regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (public and private/internal cloud models)

  • Hands-on understanding of infrastructure operations, even if not performing day-to-day administration

Are you our new Technical Architect? As a Technical Architect at Intrum in Athens, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and designing new technology solutions within the Intrum Group ecosystem, during a period of major transformation.   • Respond to travel agent inquiries in a timely, professional manner ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Qualify incoming requests by gathering essential details and assessing feasibility based on group size, destination, and travel dates.
  • Set expectations with travel agents regarding internal procedures, timelines, and the booking process to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Prepare customized, client-facing proposals that reflect Travelive’s quality standards and align with client needs and preferences.
  • Develop and communicate payment plans, cancellation policies, and terms & conditions in a clear and client-friendly format.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and soft skills, including empathy, active listening, adaptability, and conflict resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents and clients through proactive communication and personalized support.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of group travel services.
GROUP BOOKING – COORDINATION
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate records of all group reservations, including correspondence, contracts, payments, and other related documentation.
  • Monitoring group budgets, tracking costs, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that all bookings stay within budget.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to confirm availability, secure bookings, and negotiate rates.
  • Ensure inquiries are dealt with in a precise and timely manner
  • Prepare detailed Group quotations in Excel.
  • Liaise with other departments effectively & efficiently by following internal procedures and processes.
GROUP BOOKING – DELIVERY
  • Maintain consistent communication throughout the booking process to provide updates, address concerns, and confirm details.
  • Conduct quality checks on all reservations and travel arrangements to meet Travelive’s standards.
GROUP BOOKING – REPORTING & DEVELOPMENT
  • Follow up post-trip to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in future group travel experiences.
  • Preparing reports and analysis related to group sales, providing insights into booking trends and opportunities for improvement for the Senior Group Manager.
  • Support the Senior Groups Manager with additional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the department.
  • Staying current with travel industry and destination trends, and relevant new developments.

About Groups by Travelive

Travelive designs and operates premium, tailor-made group travel programs (corporate incentives, alumni, interest-based, multi-generational, and advisor-led groups) across our destinations.

Role Purpose

We’re hiring a Senior front-end business developer to open doors and win market share in Groups/MICE across our destinations. You will prospect, pitch, and acquire high-quality group accounts, then coordinate smooth handoffs to our Groups operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a go-to-market strategy for Greece, expanding to other destinations.
  • Identify and secure new accounts (corporates, agencies, associations).
  • Represent Travelive at trade shows and industry events, travel regularly for client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Recruit and onboard new talent to strengthen the Groups team as business grows.
  • Partner with Marketing on competitive analysis and positioning.
  • Collaborate with the Groups Department to share insights and integrate feedback into strategy.
  • Keep the sales pipeline organized and deliver weekly progress updates.

Requirements

  • 7-10 + years in Groups/MICE business development preferably dealing with the North American market.
  • Strong connections in broader networks.
  • Trade show experience and readiness to travel especially in North America.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Past experience working abroad in North America or Europe is preferred
  • Experience headhunting or recruiting sales talent.
