DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong technical background and a “get-things-done” attitude. You will be part of our Core Team, living at the critical intersection of product and infrastructure while building technology to accelerate the fastest growing product that is changing the food delivery landscape. REQUIREMENTS
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of proven working experience as a software engineer in a professional setting
- We span languages here: deep software development experience in either NodeJS or PHP is required. Go experience is a plus (but you should be able to learn it fast)
- Ability to pick up new languages (given the time and the resources)
- Solid understanding of operating and scaling large-scale distributed systems in practice (including application security, monitoring and managing incidents)
- Good understanding of distributed scalable systems
- Strong algorithm and Computer Science skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Great sense of humour
- Experience in working on the (micro|milli|nano)seconds zone
- Comfort in TDD and other testing practices
- Experience with containerisation and job scheduling technologies
- Contributed in open-source projects
- Experience in designing, building and maintaining highly scalable, reliable and fault-tolerant services
