Grant Thornton is currently seeking to employ an Experienced Tax Auditor Supervisor with expertise in taxation issues, for the Assurance Department, which is an agile, continuously growing industry, offering high quality services to our clients and committed to “making a difference every day”.(Ref: GT-0917A)
Role
- Engagement in tax audit projects, working in teams of qualified and highly motivated professionals
- Deliver work of highest quality, documented in accordance with our company’s standards
- Deliver excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships
- Responsible to monitor tax audit procedures
- Inspire, train and support other audit team members development and day to day audits progress
- Identify, research and propose solutions to complex tax issues
- Identify opportunities for improvement and be resourceful in making them happen
- Maintain highest standards of business ethics
Requirements
- University degree in Economics or an equivalent degree of a University abroad
- A minimum of 3-5 years of post-relevant experience, preferably in an auditing firm, in rendering tax and/or accounting services
- Very good knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties, real estate) and accounting standards
- Professional qualifications such as ADIT (Advance Diploma in International Taxation) and/or Long-term tax seminar of Athens University of Economics and Business (ΚΕΚ-ΟΠΑ) will be considered as a strong asset
- Participation in projects of issuing Tax Compliance Reports will be considered as a strong asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Very good command of English
- Strong communication skills and well-developed critical thinking
- Project management skills, analysis and problem solving, self-motivated
- Business development skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
