Aaron Navigation SA, a well-established under Law 89 shipping company based in Paleo Faliro, is seeking an experienced (preferably) and motivated professional to join its Operations Department. The position involves the operational management of bulk cargo vessels, representing the company both from the perspective of the shipowner and that of the ship management side.
Key Responsibilities:
– Correspondence with Masters, Agents, Owners, Brokers, Charterers, Bunker Traders, and Forwarders
– Bunker research, calculations, and orders
– Routine documentation management, including Bill of Lading drafting, negotiating, and release
– Checking and correcting TCP/VCP according to recap and agreed amendments
– Invoice preparation
– Laytime, dispatch, demurrage, and detention calculations, and settling balances
– Declaration of vessels to P&I and further cooperation with Clubs
– Supply of Bunker, Fresh Water, cleaning chemicals, armed guards, etc.
– Handling stowage matters
– Vessels position updates
– Inquiries and negotiations with port agents for Proforma D/A’s
Requirements:
– Proven experience in a similar position in the shipping industry
– Proficient in Excel and general computer management
– Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken)
– Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies (preferred)
– Ability to work independently and within a team
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
