Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Technical Writer Intern with excellent English language proficiency to join our team. As a fresh graduate with a degree in computer engineering,this is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career by contributing to the development of user-friendly, comprehensive, and precise documentation for the Netdata tool.
You will work closely with our development and product teams to create technical guides, tutorials, and documentation to support users in understanding and utilizing the Netdata platform.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and developers to understand new features, tools, and technical processes in Netdata.
- Write, update, and maintain technical documentation including user guides, tutorials, FAQs, and API documentation.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and structured documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure documentation is aligned with Netdata’s ongoing updates and features.
- Research and learn best practices in technical writing, usability, and documentation design.
- Test the Netdata tool to ensure accuracy in documentation and gather feedback from developers or end users to improve clarity.
- Assist in organizing documentation repositories, ensuring consistency and readability across all materials.
Key Qualifications:
- Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Netdata or other performance monitoring tools.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and technical concepts.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A passion for documentation and improving user experience through clear and concise communication.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Netdata or other similar monitoring platforms (internships, academic projects, or personal projects).
- Basic knowledge of networking, system performance metrics, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with content management systems or documentation platforms.
- Any previous writing experience (blogging, open-source contributions, etc.).
