So what’s the challenge…
Are you driven by the challenge of ensuring operational stability, peak performance, and compliance in BI & Analytics platforms? We’re looking for a skilled BI DevOps Engineer to monitor and secure our BI & Analytics infrastructure. In this role, you will establish best practices and support the daily operations of our BI team, guaranteeing platform functionality and data quality while minimizing risk.
Your day to day will include:
• Administering the Data Warehouse, BI/Analytics and Data Governance platforms hosted on Azure Cloud
• Monitoring and optimizing BI azure services performance, proposing usability and security improvements and responding quickly to incidents that affect the service levels, in cooperation with other IT teams
• Designing and implementing OPAP’s Data Warehouse platform architecture hosted on MS Azure Cloud based on business needs and supporting the reporting and analytics requirements
• Executing the necessary maintenance activities and troubleshooting OPAP’s Data Warehouses, including the OPAP Enterprise Data Warehouse and Aggregation Layer as well as those delivered by vendors and communicating with BI systems vendors to report and resolve issues
• Designing and implementing automated DevOps processes supporting BI developing, UAT tasks executions and production deployments processes
• Keeping all BI tools and platforms up-to-date with all the recent official updates to ensure security and stability
• Creating and managing user roles and groups by tailoring the access rights to the exact business needs
• Ensuring compliance to company processes for granting access to BI assets and informing business owners according to security and privacy guidelines
What you need to succeed:
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field. An MSc degree in relevant topic is desirable
• Proven experience in an Administrative role in databases on MS Azure (Synapse, SQL managed services) or MS SQL server database supporting data management, reporting and analytics in a large data warehouse environment
• Experience in Azure services administration
• Experience with versioning and collaboration systems (GitHub, TFS, ClearCase or similar)
• Experience on Azure DevOps service is desirable
• Knowledge of security principles, protocols and encryption
• Experience with Cloud-based platforms for Big Data and Analytics (Azure/PowerBI, AWS, Google Analytics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently both on own initiative and within a team.
• Excellent use of Greek and English languages (oral and written)
