Business Need / Purpose of Role

The SpoR (Single Point of Remittance) Coordinator reporting to ROC Manager, shall primarily be responsible to coordinate the SpoR worldwide daily tasks ensuring a responsive and customer focused service is provided for the following functions – Itinerary bookings, Operations requests’ providing info & planning, and Disbursement Accounting.

Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Receiving principals’, which are under SpoR agreement, worldwide itineraries, acknowledging and proceeding with berth availability checks, bookings or giving solution by providing alternatives.
  • Liaising with our ISS’ network or our local representatives’ offices providing valid data to principal
  • Monitor daily operational correspondence to secure that services are being provided are adhere to ISS standards and take corrective action where is required.
  • Working within ISS’ KPIs.
  • Build relationships with customers.

Financial

  • Liaising with our ISS’ network or our local representatives’ offices providing valid accurate proformas to principal.
  • Ensure that our principal’s interests are being protected and our profitability is maximized.
  • Secure prefunding arrangements, based on agreements  for all concerned parties.
  • Receive final invoices and crosscheck that everything is in order with received and given intel- spot and investigate in case of difference.
  • Upload final invoices to our internal platforms. Issue the FDAs in order to forward to principal.
  • Secure and monitor final settlements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of Shipping industry
  • Strong Communication Skills in English- Additional language will be considered as an advantage
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and time managements skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Able to communicate through all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and experience in MS Office.
  • Customer Oriented

The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Education, Qualifications, Certifications, and Licenses

Education/Experience:

  • Previous experience will be considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field would be appreciated
