About Costamare Shipping: Costamare Shipping (www.costamare.com) is one of the world’s leading owners and providers of containerships and dry bulk carriers for charter. Costamare is seeking for an Application Support Engineer with positive attitude and strong organizational skills to join the company’s information technology team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain in-depth understanding of company’s software systems from both technical and business perspective
- Analyze, configure, and maintain software systems, including company’s ERP and Document Management System
- Maintain, develop, and update database systems and reports
- Gather business requirements and translate it into technical specifications
- Compile technical documentation (user manuals, specification documents)
- Work jointly with software engineering team to enhance or build new software functionality
- Train and assist users
What you need for the job:
- BS/MS degree in Digital Systems, Computer Science, or a related subject
- Ability to analyze software systems and produce technical documentation
- Good knowledge of a scripting language (i.e. VB Script, Python)
- Good knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL
- Good knowledge of MS Office particularly MS Excel and MS Access
- Work experience as an IT consultant is a plus
- Experience with Document Management Systems is a plus
- Experience with Non-Relational Databases is a plus
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, both written and spoken
- Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates
