When it comes to money, GI-related insurance claims are one of the top cost drivers for employers and health plans. We’re looking for a driven, experienced software engineer who’s excited about our mission and wants to help us build a user-friendly application to improve the health of thousands of people.
What you’ll be doing as our mobile software engineer:
- Being part of an amazing team that’s focused on user experience
- Implementing features for our native mobile applications
- Maintaining our existing mobile applications
- Testing our applications against technical issues and fixing them
- Producing fully functional mobile applications through writing solid testable code
- Utilizing reactive methodologies using reactive extensions (Rx*)
- Writing unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
- Shaping the future of our application by collaboratively designing new features
Your profile
- Strong engineering background, preferably with academic training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiar with iOS or Android
- Willingness and ability to work in a cross-functional, product-focused team, and actively participate in the design of future features and iterations
- Experience in web service architectures; WebSockets and JSON RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Passionate about mobile platforms and translating ideas into user-friendly applications
- English fluency
Ideally you also have:
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience with Git
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
- Experience and/or desire to work in a cross-functional role is a huge plus
