We currently have a vacancy position for an ambitious and highly motivated Data Scientist / Analyst / Big Data Engineer, to join our expanding development teams in Athens and lead in materializing the next generation of AI tools targeting real time decisions by combining disparate data sources. A strong background in large scale data processing and analytics is required while firm knowledge of stream processing tools will be considered a plus.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Data Science and/or Mathematics and/or Statistics and/or Computer Science or related field
- Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms
- Understanding of Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques (e.g. Decision Forests, Neural Networks, etc.)
- Practical experience working with and conducting experiments on large datasets
- Knowledge and/or experience in Big Data technologies: NoSQL Databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase), Apache Spark
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, NLP, Weka, NumPy, MatLab etc.
- Experience with Data Visualisation Tools
- Fluency in verbal and written English
